Customized On-Site Workshops and Training

We can send one of our trainers to your location for a workshop or training that focuses on your organization’s needs. We will help identify what issues you would like our skills training to address before the workshop/training takes place. We will customize in-class exercises to specifically address your group’s issues so topics will resonate with youths’ experiences, thus increasing their involvement.

These workshops are for eight to 20 participants and can be scheduled to fit your calendar.

Workshop Description

4 (one hour) session

Youth ages 10-13 or 14-21

$250 (4 hrs. x $125 p/hr.)

This an introductory workshop linking youth to the idea that students are in control of their future and their dreams. The activities focus on introducing students to the many college/university, trade school, and employment opportunities available to them.  Students will be able to explain the connection between their actions and college/trade school/employment opportunities. In addition, students will understand the benefits of each pathway and begin to set reasonable and realistic goals through planning and attention.  Students will depart with post-secondary goals.

Students who would like to depart with a comprehensive post-secondary plan should participate in the Post-Secondary Pathways Training consisting of four (1 hour) workshops that cover the aforementioned in more detail.  These workshops specifically look at college/trade schools/employment opportunities and help students determine which route(s) are aligned with their goals.  Students will use multiple tools to design a comprehensive plan to achieve post-secondary success.
